Feminist Perspectives Test (Historical)
Based on the work of Dr. Nancy Henley, Ph.D.
The Feminist Perspectives inventory is one of the most widely-used measurements for figuring out what kind of feminist (or non-feminist) a person is. This version of the Feminist Perspectives inventory is the original, historical version of the instrument that Dr. Henley presented in 1998. The test will be useful to researchers and people interested in gender studies to elucidate how feminist thinking has evolved over the years.

IDRlabs developed the IDRlabs Feminist Perspectives Test, Historical Version (IDR-FPT-HV). The IDR-FPT-HV was informed by the Feminist Perspectives Scale (FPS), which was authored by Dr. Nancy Henley and her colleagues. Please note that the IDR-FPT-HV is not connected with any particular institution or individual in the fields of political science, philosophy, psychology, or any affiliated researchers.
The IDR-FPT-HV was based on the FPS, as published in Henley, Nancy & Spalding, Leah & Kosta, Andrea. (2006). Development of the short form of the feminist perspectives scale. Psychology of Women Quarterly; Henley, N., Meng, K., O'Brien, D., McCarthy, W., Sockloskie, R. (1998). Developing a scale to measure the diversity of feminist attitudes. Psychology of Women Quarterly, 22(2), 317-348. Henley, N., Spalding, L., Kosta, A. (2006). Development of the short form of the feminist perspectives scale. Psychology of Women Quarterly, 24(3), 254-256. The FPS is also featured in Henley, N. & McCarthy, W. (2006). Measuring feminist attitudes. Wiley Online Library.
The IDRlabs Feminist Perspectives Test is based on a well-known tool for the measurement of an individual's attitude toward feminism. Henley and her colleagues incorporated fundamental and controversial ideas. They specified women as an oppressed group and examined its links to factors such as race, history, and social class. The FPS aims to assess various views on women and women’s issues. It systematically includes different feminist perspectives and categorically measures such attitudes.
