The HEXACO test is a proposed innovation of the scientific Big Five system of personality. This shortened version of the standard HEXACO test focuses on a person’s dark side, as proposed by Michael C. Ashton, Ph.D. and Kibeom Lee, Ph.D.

The Big Five, or Five Factor Model (FFM), is the gold standard in social science, and is at the forefront of scientific personality testing.
