Dexter Test

The IDRLabs Dexter Test is inspired by psychometric methodology and based on research into the characters in Dexter.

A former Special Forces operative, Doakes is physically imposing and highly skilled, making him a formidable and relentless detective. Unlike many of his colleagues, Doakes sees through Dexter’s charming facade and becomes suspicious of his seemingly emotionless demeanor, leading him to pursue Dexter with a laser focus. His rigid sense of morality, quick temper, and unwillingness to compromise make him an intense figure, often alienating him from his peers. Doakes' unwavering pursuit of justice and his deep sense of right and wrong set him on a dangerous collision course with Dexter, whose true nature he is determined to expose.

Brian Moser: Brian Moser, also known as the Ice Truck Killer, is Dexter Morgan's estranged older brother and a cunning, sadistic serial killer. Traumatized by witnessing the brutal murder of their mother as children, Brian, unlike Dexter, was left to endure the psychological aftermath without guidance, leading him to fully embrace his violent tendencies. Highly intelligent and manipulative, Brian meticulously crafts his murders as twisted works of art, often leaving clues designed to attract Dexter's attention and lure him into a reunion. Beneath his charming and charismatic exterior lies a deeply disturbed individual, obsessed with reconnecting with Dexter and bonding over their shared dark impulses. Brian’s longing for a brotherly connection, coupled with his complete lack of empathy, makes him a chilling and tragic figure.

Frank Lundy: Frank Lundy is a seasoned and highly skilled FBI Special Agent known for his calm demeanor, sharp intellect, and expertise in hunting serial killers. With decades of experience, Lundy is meticulous and methodical in his approach, using his deep insight into human behavior to track even the most elusive criminals. Despite the intensity of his work, he remains composed and unflappable, exuding a quiet confidence that earns him the respect of his colleagues. Lundy's dedication to justice is unwavering, and his ethical compass stands in contrast to the moral ambiguity of characters like Dexter. Angel Batista: Angel Batista is a kind-hearted and loyal detective in the Miami Metro Police Department known for his empathy, optimism, and dedication to his job. Maria LaGuerta: María LaGuerta is an ambitious and politically savvy high-ranking officer in the Miami Metro Police Department known for her intelligence, confidence, and manipulative tendencies. As one of the few women in a leadership role, she is fiercely protective of her position and often uses her charm and cunning to navigate office politics and advance her career. While she projects a tough and authoritative exterior, LaGuerta has moments of vulnerability, particularly in her personal relationships, revealing a more complex and human side beneath her ambition. Her drive for success can sometimes lead her to make morally questionable decisions, creating tension with her colleagues, but she remains a powerful figure in the department, always determined to maintain her influence and status.
