Face Preference Test

Social scientists like Lasse Laustsen and Michael Bang Petersen have discovered that people's preferences in faces vary according to threat perception, political ideology, and the nature of the situation at hand. To test the hypothesis, scientists adopted an evolutionary approach where the questions of contemporary politics were traced back to the social and political questions that faced Stone Age tribes. For each of the following questions, decide who you think should be in charge of resolving the tribe's problem.

Question 1 of 24

Someone has been sneaking into the tribe's settlement at night and attempted to set fire to the huts. Who should be in charge of investigating the matter?

IDR Labs Face Preference Test is the property of IDR Labs International, save for the Facegen Images, which are the property of Facegen Modeller and the Social Perception Lab, Princeton University.

The face social perception framework was developed by the Department of Psychology at Princeton University and can be used to study Competence, Dominance, Extroversion, Likeability, Threat Perception, Trustworthiness, and more, in an effort to understand human behavior and genetics better and the individual differences that drive them. As a social science framework, the face social perception framework allows for the testing of a wide variety of hypotheses about individual differences and human nature.

Face preference tests, whether they are professional or "official" tests used in academic research, or free online tests like this one, are indicators to help give you a cue as to your overall level of threat perception as well as your preferred method of conflict resolution, based on the statistically validated social perceptions that are habitually associated with specific facial traits. In matching your preference in faces with contemporary political segments, as found in Western democracies, this test draws upon state-of-the-art, peer-reviewed social science publications for its data. Even so, no test ever devised can designate your political allegiances with complete accuracy or reliability and no face preference test can replace familiarizing yourself with the politics of your own country in depth.
