Career Interests Test
Based on the work of Dr. John L. Holland, Ph.D.
This Career Interests Test is based on the popular Holland Codes, which are widely used in career counseling across the United States and even endorsed by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration. This version of the career test adopts an interest-based approach to career codes as opposed to the personality-based model used by the classic Career Code Test.

The IDRlabs Career Interests Test (IDR-CIT©) was created by IDRlabs International. The IDR-CIT was based on a scientifically validated assessment of career interests and strengths: The Holland RIASEC Career Codes. The IDR-CIT is not associated with any researchers or institutions who contributed to this psychological tool.
The IDRlabs Career Interests Test was informed by Holland’s RIASEC model of occupational preferences and aptitudes. The goal of this model is to shed some light on why certain people, and certain personalities, do better in some jobs than others, thereby increasing workplace satisfaction and happiness. The current career quiz does not claim to provide or to replace individualized career counseling delivered by a professional. IDRlabs International and the IDRlabs Career Interests Test are not affiliated with any researchers or institutions associated with Holland and the RIASEC career model.
The current Career Interests Test is based on a scientifically valid measurement for the assessment of this psychological construct. Even so, online tools such as this are only intended to be a “first look” at the concept of interest. They do not provide exact assessments of your personality and should not be treated as such. As the developers of this free online test, which gives you a snapshot of the career areas you are personally best suited for, we have endeavored to make the test as accurate and comprehensive as possible by subjecting it to statistical controls and testing.
Although this test was made and statistically validated by psychology professionals, free online tests cannot deliver professional assessments or suggestions of any kind; scoring and results of our free online Career Interests Test are intended for informative and entertainment purposes only, and are therefore provided “as-is.” For additional information about the present test or any of our other online psychological tests, please refer to our Terms of Service.
